Today's classroom is comprised of students who are digitally intuitive. They learn best in a constructivist environment through media interaction, hands-on learning practices, and problem-based strategies. Through communication, collaboration, and problem-solving we can better prepare our students for the global workforce of lifelong learners to which they will soon join. Teaching, utilizing a constructivist model with students, demands that students become active participants and creators of knowledge as they construct their learning.

With Google Earth you and your students can add content to interactive electronic maps.  In this workshop you will learn to create Google Earth placemarks that can be used to showcase family history, track the paths of ancient explorers, document a scientific event, or tell others about anything else happening in the world. The tools are free, easy, powerful, and fun to use.
